Right Where You Left Me it's the bad taste in my mouth on nights like these, that takes the beauty away
we stood right here, last year
neither of us had much to say, breathless and speechless all the while
in the darkness i could barely see your lips form a smile

i held your hand and your heart that night
i promised that we'd make it out alright
you left me standing alone after that
ran away from me and never came back

just remember that i'll always be waiting for you
standing right where you left me

brokenthoughtsandtornmemories i sat in an empty room, across from a window and in a corner
looking through these broken thoughts and torn memories of mine
picking them up, one by one, holding them up to the sun breaking through
turning the broken pieces of glass and torn filmstrips in the light

as the morning sun ignited into another day and faded into another night
i carefully tried to put each thought back together,
but left my memories strewn across the floor
first i pieced the thoughts together in my head and then in my hands

the sharp edges of the broken glass and my palms dripping red
after one more cycle of watching the sunlight seep across the floor
and
